Q: Esmolol is metabolised in...?

A; RBC

Esmolol is called esmolol because it has side chain called Ester-methyl which allows for quick hydrolysis. Esmolol is rapidly hydrolyzed by esterases in the cytosol of red blood cells. Its metabolism is not affected by hepatic or renal failures
